John Gormly, 14 - Jr. Black
John started karate at the age of 4. He achieved Junior Black Belt at the age of 12. He is currently helping new students experience the great things he experienced growing up in martial arts. Teaching the little ones is his passion!! |

Dan Ramirez, 16 - Brown/Black
Moved from El Salvadorand to the US when he was 9. He joined karate at the age of 11 and moved to New Wave about one year later. He has been at New Wave for about four of the almost five years he's been practicing martial arts. He spends a few hours a day here almost every day training and learning how to teach.

Riker Nieforth, 13 - Brown/Black
Riker started karate at New Wave when he was 5. He loves everything in karate and has been part of Masters Club. He loves doing flips and cool forms. |

Sebastian Trabucco, 10 - Brown/Black
Sebastian got interested in martial arts because he wanted to learn how to defend himself if he got in a fight. He learned that you can defend yourself physically,or verbally you don't always have to work it out with hands you can use words.

Jillian Proulx, 14 - Brown
Jillian was introduced to karate and New Wave Self Defense through her nephew Sebastian. Jillian was interested in all things that come with the sport of karate, such as crazy kicks and the mental aspect of it. She also loves the competitive feature with having her nephew a part of this sport too.

Sarah started karate when she was 8. The reason she likes karate so much is that it helps her express her feelings and she loves to learn. |

Alex Rainey, 15 - Green/Brown
He was inspired by Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan movies. He has been in karate since 7th grade for self defense reasons. Alex takes karate not because he wanted revenge. He wishes that most kids would do karate because it’s very energizing and teaches how to be independent. |

Andrew moved from place to place and came across New Wave his senior year of high school. He loves the workout and new knowledge gained. His goal is to become an instructor own a dojo.
