All of our advanced students are involved in either the Orientation Leader Program, or the Mentor Program.
Orientation Leaders are responsible for helping students become assimilated into the school and prepare them for class and training. This is technically the pre-requisite to the Mentor program. The Mentors are experienced students who can help guide the students in their martial arts journey. The student is assigned a Mentor after the first graduation (the Batizado).

Sebastian Trabucco (Jr. Black Belt). Sebastian got interested in martial arts because he wanted to learn
how to defend himself if he got in a fight. He learned that you don't always have to work it
out with hands you can use words.
Riker Nieforth (Jr. Black Belt). Riker started karate at New Wave when he was 5. He loves everything
in karate and has been part of Masters Club. He loves doing flips and
cool forms.
Sarah Gold (Jr. Black Belt). Sarah started karate when she was 8. The reason she likes karate so
much is that it helps her express her feelings and she loves to learn. |
